BUILDING THE CAPACITY OF THE CONTINENT’S MOST INNOVATIVE YOUNG WOMEN CHANGEMAKERS
The Innovation in Leadership Program focuses on building entrepreneurial and career readiness skills among young women between the ages of 18 and 35. The goal of the program is to build the capacity of the continent’s most innovative young women changemakers to drive solutions for some of the biggest challenges facing their communities.
The year-long fellowship program incubates some of the continent’s most innovative young women changemakers who are providing solutions to pressing challenges in their communities.
Akili Dada is leveraging its expertise as a leader- ship incubator to convene leadership workshops for young women political aspirants. We believe that we need to invest in them by nurturing and building their leadership skills so that they can practice transformative leadership and thus have a greater impact in their respective communities. The workshops are a space to dis– cuss opportunities and skills relevant to the young women’s development as Africa’s future leaders.
YOUNG WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FORUMS
Dada is training young women in institutions of higher learning who aspire to vie for student government positions. We believe that these young women are the future leaders of this country and continent. By nurturing their leadership skills we are contributing to transformative leadership both across sectors.
Akili Dada hosts Dada Dialogues to encourage conversations on various issues through the lens of young women from various backgrounds including university women, young professionals and young women living in informal settlements. These dialogues invite scholars, lawmakers and implementors to broaden the young women’s knowledge base so that they can participate in various discourses in the country and beyond. Engage with us on Dadas Speak!
Recent university graduates are supported through a series of workshops designed to provide them with the skills and networks they need to thrive as young women entering the job market. These workshops also serve as platforms for young professionals to connect with each other and share learnings.
