My name is Yvonne Akoth. In 2015, I was delighted to be selected as an Akili Dada Fellow. Armed with passion and ideas to follow my dreams, Akili Dada has held my hand and guided me through a journey of self-discovery. This includes empowering me with technical skills, as well as financially investing in my dream.

The outcome of my fellowship program culminated with the birth of Impart Change. Impart Change is local non- profit organization that empowers young people, especially girls and young women with skills, knowledge and information on peace-building, conflict management and violence prevention.

Since the launch of Impart Change, we have empowered more than 500 young people and reached more than 6000 community members. Our progressive growth has seen us work with local and international partners who include the Pollination Project and the United States Institute of Peace (USIP).

Cream of the Crop

Presently, Impart Change is delighted to be selected among the top 10 projects of 2017 by the Global Youth Empowerment Fund (GYEF), a partnership between Junior Chamber International (JCI) and the SDG Action Campaign. Our goal is to contribute to the achievement of SDG 5 Gender Equality and SDG 16 Peace, Justice and Strong institutions.
