On Thursday 8th August 2013, Akili Dada, in partnership with The Action Foundation, will be hosting a talk at the Akili Dada offices from 5.30pm to 7pm. The discussion will revolve around the inclusion of children living with disabilities in Kenya’s education system.
Maria Omare, an Akili Dada fellow, is the founder of The Action Foundation, an NGO that seeks to improve the lives of children living with physical and intellectual challenges through sports, awareness creation, health promotion and therapy.
The talk is one of several events to raise funds to support reconstructive surgery, purchase of assistive devices and physiotherapy for 3 children living with disabilities in Kibera.
